Overview and objectives of the PhD course
The graduate program in Mathematics in Pisa aims to select qualified and motivated students, and provide them the high level education which is required to begin a research career in all areas of Pure and Applied Mathematics, and in particularly in those that are closer to the mathematical tradition of this town. Graduate students will benefit from the several advanced courses offered by the Mathematics Department and the Scuola Normale Superiore, many of which are held byrecognized experts from other universities, from the intense seminar activity and from several conferences organized every year in both institutions.
