Application procedure for National Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence on restricted topic

Application procedure for National Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence (Academic Year 2021/2022) financed by Open Fiber S.p.A. on the topic "_Study of the application of machine learning techniques and reinforcement learning to acquire the behaviour of customers and network services of an infrastructural telecommunications operator, aimed at the dynamic optimization in the resources allocation in processes, in particular delivery and assurance"

How to apply

Please carefully read the call for application before starting the procedure (see the PDF annexed at the bottom of the page).

The application procedure requires the following steps:

  1. register your personal data on www.studenti.unipi.it . Please note that if you have previously registered on Unipi website, you should skip directly to the next step;
  2. Submit mandatory your online application on www.studenti.unipi.it . Please edit your personal data to start the application procedure.
    The following documents should be uploaded:

    • your curriculum vitae and any other relevant documentation
    • your research project
    Non-compliance with the curriculum and/or the research project uploading will not give rise to exclusion. The sole curriculum and research project uploading does not represent the application submission.
    • your qualification with the relevant documents referred to in Article 4 of the call (only for candidates with a foreign qualification)
    During the online application, max 2 referees and their contact details (email address and phone number) should be specified (only if required by the call annexed at the bottom of the page)
  3. Fee payment of 30,00 euro by August 5, 2021 h 23:59 (Italy Time) on Pago PA system which is accessible at the end of the online procedure. If the application fee payment has been made but not completed yet within the deadline, the candidate will be tentatively admitted pending payment verification.
  4. Submission final receipt should be printed and kept to certify the correct online registration along with the fee payment receipt (within the deadline).

Please note
If candidates, having applied to the call for application to the National PhD in Artificial Intelligence (pursuant to the Rectoral Decree no.784/2021) before the issuing of this decree, express their interest also in this selection once received the notification, they will be automatically admitted to this selection. In this event, the application fee paid for the general call for application (issued by the aforementioned Rectoral Decree no .784 / 2021) will also be valid for this selection. The documentation already uploaded will be valid as well and, therefore, evaluated by the Selection Committee.
